It's officially less than two months until American Horror Story returns to our screens and we don't know about you but we've got a good feeling about this one. Dare we say it, it looks like it's shaping up to be the best season so far...
Unlike season six, there's been a lot more sneak peaks and leaked set pics doing the rounds on Twitter and Instagram. And it has now been confirmed that one iconic character from AHS seasons past will be returning to terrorise the suburbs for another day. Ladies and gentlemen, kiss goodbye to your restful nights sleep because Twisty the Clown is BACK.
Late last year, Ryan Murphy dropped a few hints that Freak Show would be re-explored in season seven, with a closer look into the "deeper histories and mythologies" of the fourth season. He also mentioned that a few characters will be back in action too and well, now we know who.
So how will Twisty make his grand return? The sudden abundance of clown masks that are being posted onto Murphy's Instagram recently might have something to do with it. There's been a few whispers around the internet that one of the sub plots in the season will focus on that 'Killer Clown' situation that happened in 2016. Could the legend of Twisty have inspired a group of people to start their own sadistic clown terrorism club?
Whether Twisty will ACTUALLY return in the flesh himself or appear as a comic book illustration remains to be seen - we'll just have to sit and wait patiently. Although, we think might actually prefer the latter. Not sure if we can handle THIS again.
