American Horror Story Trailers

Forget what you heard, "American Horror Story" just scammed us all.

An alien baby in a crib with a kitchen knife for a mobile. Staples to the head. Grabby hands under the stairwell. Texas Chainsaw realness. A fraudulent looking Lady Gaga with a worm crawling on her head and three creepy AF figures standing in the sunset with lights for eyes.

Only ONE of those is a legit trailer for American Horror Story’s sixth season theme.

CEO of FX John Landgraf, just confirmed at the TCAs in Los Angeles that the six trailers that dropped a few weeks were ago were all red herrings - except for one. The other five? Well, they were reportedly created to confuse and scam the entire fandom. Well, John… we’re here to say that it’s BLOODY WORKING!

"They went out and created many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story, in different genres, different places. One of them is accurate, and the others are all misdirects."

Landgraf then went on to confirm that “there IS a theme and a setting and a place and time” to the new season, “but we’re not going to reveal it because we think it will be fun for the audience to have the surprise this year.”

So what you’re saying is, we’re not going to actually find out the theme until 9pm EST on September 14th? Wow. Ok. Great. Amazing. Can’t wait. Sign me up.

So that now brings us to the burning question - which one is the real trailer?

Some of them are pretty similar to themes we’ve seen before. Scary babies from Murder House, unsavoury doctors from Asylum, spooky goings on under the stairwell from Hotel. With those three eliminated, it leaves the two trailers with ~farm vibes~ and the girl with the creepy crawly on her head. Recent set leaks would suggest something a little more rural and way less opulent than anything we’ve seen before.

What if that statement was actually a lie too? Can we actually trust anyone to tell us the truth at this point? No, is the short answer. We’ll have to wait until September 14th.
